CORV, The Central Ohio River Valley Local Foods Initiative is a grassroots effort to educate our community about the value of locally and sustainably grown food, as well as to connect local community members with local growers/farmers and markets.

Carriage House Farm has been worked by five generations of family since 1852.
What was once a small 90 acre homestead, today includes more than 300 acres of fertile, mostly river bottom, land and woods.

In 1981 Sunrock farm opened as an educational farm for children. Dr. Frank Traina became “Farmer Frank” and introduced children to the wonderful world of nature and how nature produces the food that they eat. His goal remains to “Help Children Touch the Earth” by offering visiting children a series of farm and nature experiences.
Today over 30,000 children a year visit Sunrock Farm.
